There are two ways to remedy the situation. First, you can open a cover behind the control valve, remove the old water system, replaced by a new single valve handle and use a picture "of the renovation or conversion plate (d www.symmons.com" Manufacturer's test CC) . Option 2 does not open the wall, identical but for the conversion record, but placed on the valve, sets the plate, then cut 3 / 4 "inches inside the line, remove the card and plaster panels and replace the old with to install the new valve and the plate to cover the whole. The worst thing is the tile cutting and welding in a small room.
Good luck!

You need access to the rear of the valve. Remove and replace the tiles in the handles and cut them with new ones.
